Are you thankful for the journey?
Each and every one of us has stories and experiences that we might be better off without remembering them or mentioning them or so we think. The reality is that each Experience whether good or bad is our own and we can learn from it.
The Bible tells us in Psalms 32:8 that God will guide us and will counsel us throughout the pathway of life. That is amazing and reassuring at the same time. I mean, when we encounter moments of confusion, frustration and we struggle to find a way we can trust that God will help us find a way! It does not look like it when we are in the middle of it all but God has promised to be with use and all He is asking is for us to trust him. He reassures us by reminding us that He has overcome; therefore, we do have the capacity to overcome as well.
This year has been particularly challenging for everyone and we all had to overcome different things and challenges but I'm sure if we take a moment to look back we are also going to see times of awe and joy. When we take the moment to look back at what we have gone through we are opening the door to see from a different perspective and be grateful. Because we are no longer in the place we were 6 months ago we can now open our hearts to see what we were not able to see clearly when we were going through all the changes thrown at us as individuals and as a nation.
I am grateful for the experiences that we had, for the unexpected, for the challenges and for the new opportunities we were able to seize. Are you?
I Invite you today to write 3 things you are grateful about the 2020 journey. I know this one is a little hard considering the unprecedented things we all had to face but I'm sure we can find those 3 things. We might even get surprised about it.
